apl.de.ap and J. Rey Soul of the Black Eyed Peas Play Saturday

apl.de.ap is a founding member of the group. Born Allan Pineda Lindo in Pampanga and based in Los Angeles, he has been there since it formed out of Atban Klann in the early nineties, through the run of records that made the Peas one of the best-selling acts in pop.

He holds six Grammy Awards from sixteen nominations, all of them with the group, per the Recording Academy's own artist record. Three of those came in a single night at the 52nd Awards in 2010, for “I Gotta Feeling”, the album The E.N.D.and the “Boom Boom Pow” video. “My Humps” had taken the same duo-or-group category three years earlier.

J. Rey Soul

J. Rey Soul is the group's vocalist. Born Jessica Reynoso, she was a finalist on the first season of The Voice of the Philippines on apl.de.ap's own team, signed to his label afterwards, and joined the Black Eyed Peas in 2018 following Fergie's departure. She has sung on Masters of the Sun Vol. 1, Translation and Elevation, and has toured with the group since 2019.

Why This Room

A stadium show and a Saturday at Clifford Pier are different jobs. There is no distance to perform across here, no screens standing in for a sightline, and the front of the room is a few metres from the floor. That proximity is the whole reason to book two members of a group this size into a space this small.

Saturday runs loud and full. Sunday runs later and closer to the floor, and Eve closes it.

Access

Tables, shared tables and Club Passes are available across both nights. The upper tiers have historically sold earliest in this market. Access is by pre-booked ticket only; the event does not release inventory on the day, and set times go to ticket holders closer to the weekend.
